Petra Regent

Petra Regent lives in Bristol and is a visual artist, gardener, and poet. She works with wood, stones, earth, trees, wild plants and found objects, combining drawing, photography, print, and text to explore “the spirit of place.”  She is fascinated by the impact of time and human history on the fabric and texture of the urban and natural world - mapping and exploring the traces that are left behind. 

Petra studied Zoology (Oxford) and was a wildlife filmmaker for many years, so the natural world has been her inspiration since she made a recent career move, and completed an MA in printmaking (Bristol).

Exhibitions include RA Summer Exhibition, Royal West of England Academy Open Exhibition; Plantae, Mall Galleries, New English Art Club, The London Group, Royal Scottish Academy, and Wells Contemporary.
